The biceps branchii muscle.
The biceps inserts into the radial tuberosity, and originates from the coracoid process of the scapula and supraglenoid tubercle.
The biceps branchii are involved in elbow flexion. When the origin of the biceps is fixed, the muscle flexes the forearm. When the muscle insertion is fixed, for example in rock-limbing, the humerus moves towards the forearm.
Electro stimulation of the biceps branchii is recommended for those practicing sports requiring explosive energy for example, swimming, climbing, rowing and working out with gym equipment.
